Australia invests more than $12.8 billion every year in veteran care, yet thousands of veterans still can’t access the help they’ve earned. The Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide has linked this bureaucracy directly to distress and loss of life with three Australian Veterans completing Suicide every fortnight. Despite well-funded reforms, the system remains manual, inconsistent, and inequitable, its complexity measured in paperwork, its cost measured in human lives.
