Shanna Chen

Shanna Chen is an accomplished program manager with extensive experience in the defense and aerospace sectors. Currently serving as the Challenges Program Manager at AFWERX since January 2023, Shanna oversees a market research initiative that connects innovative solutions with Department of the Air Force priorities. Previously, Shanna acted as the Air Force liaison at SpaceWERX and managed the GHOST program for USSOCOM, focusing on critical ISR and EW initiatives. Shanna's tenure at Space Systems Command included leading the cybersecurity efforts for a significant communication system and contributing as a founding member of SpaceWERX, where Shanna facilitated substantial funding for defense startups. Shanna holds a Bachelor's Degree from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Redlands School of Business & Society.
