Faraan Mithani is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Manager of Teachers Professional Development and International Programmes Manager at The Aga Khan Academies since May 2014, where responsibilities include the design and delivery of global experiential learning programmes. Prior roles include Programme Manager at The Institute of Ismaili Studies from July 2010 to May 2014, overseeing the creation of educational infrastructure across 13 countries, managing quality review processes, and liaising with stakeholders. Faraan also worked as an Educational Consultant for the Aga Khan Education Service in early 2010 and held various positions at Wolseley from 2006 to 2010, including Project/Operations Manager and Cost Optimisation Analyst. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Education Management from King's College London and a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages with Economics from the University of Southampton.

Aga Khan Academies
The Aga Khan Academies are an integrated network of schools being established in countries across Africa, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East. When complete, the network of Academies will form a global learning community of schools in 14 countries. They will eventually serve approximately 14,000 students of exceptional calibre, graduating 1500 students annually.
