Alex Manu has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Starting in 1989, they worked as an Audit Manager at The MAP Partnership until 1997. From 1997 to 2000, they served as a Senior Manager at Macilvin Moore. Alex then joined Deloitte as an Associate Director in 2000 before transitioning to a role as Regional Finance Director at Aga Khan Health Service from 2001 to 2005. In 2005, they became a Business Case Accountant at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust until 2009. From 2009 to 2013, they served as Deputy Director of Finance at Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. Next, they worked as Financial Strategy Manager (London Region) at NHS England from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 onwards, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Aga Khan Development Network, overseeing the finance function for Aga Khan Health Services globally. Additionally, they have also been a Member of the Board of Trustees at BRAC since 2010.

Alex Manu's education history begins in 1981 when they attended the University of Ghana and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, which they completed in 1985.

After a few years, they enrolled in Emile Woolf College in 1988 and completed a Chartered Accountancy program, earning the FCCA designation by 1989.

In 2005, Alex pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The Open University and successfully completed the program in 2007, specializing in Business Administration.

Subsequently, in 2007, they enrolled in The Open University again, this time pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Finance and Management, which they completed by 2008.

Lastly, Alex attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Master's Degree in Health Economics Policy and Management.
