Aquinius Mung'Atia

Aquinius Mung'atia has over 10 years of work experience in various managerial roles. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Restaurant Manager at Monarch Group, where they successfully implemented a turnaround strategy and achieved significant revenue growth. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the General Manager at Sigona Golf Club, where they transformed the club into a popular destination for golf tourists and oversaw all aspects of the business operations. In 2013, they became the General Manager at Muthaiga Golf Club and led the development and implementation of a turnaround strategy while upgrading the facilities and improving the food and beverage services. Since 2016, Aquinius has been working at The Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa, first as the Head of Facilities and Support Services and later as the Head of Projects and Security. In these roles, they have managed various internal and public-partnership projects, implemented climate change and environment initiatives, and oversaw the expansion of hospital programs and outreach. Aquinius has also been responsible for overseeing departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Catering, Biomedical Engineering, Transport & Communication, Security, Marketing, and Client Relations. Throughout their career, Aquinius has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a commitment to achieving organizational goals.

Aquinius Mung'atia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Aquinius also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Institutional Management from Maseno University, completed from 1997 to 2001. In addition, they have obtained several additional certifications, including the Qualified Security Manager (QSM) from Highfield in 2022 and the Leadership, Management, and Governance course for Senior Policy Makers in Health from AMREF in 2021. Aquinius has also completed various training courses on topics such as Agile, AutoCAD, Power BI, and Lean Construction, among others, through LinkedIn in 2020.
