Francis Canavan

Frank Canavan is a legal professional with extensive experience in state affairs and regulatory analysis within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager of State Affairs at the American Gas Association since August 2019, Frank has held multiple roles in the organization, including Manager and Legislative & Regulatory Analyst. Prior to this, Frank worked as a Legislative Research Assistant at the Virginia Division of Legislative Services and as a Legal Intern at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers. Earlier experience includes a Law Clerk position with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and an internship at the American Gas Association. Frank holds a Doctor of Law degree with a Regulatory Law concentration from George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School and a degree in History & International Politics from Penn State University.
