John Alberico

John leads the WaveForm Diabetes team with his manufacturing and operational expertise as President and CEO. Previously, he served for 15 years as CEO of AgaMatrix, Inc, bringing world-class glucose monitoring devices to market for strategic partners like Sanofi, CVS, Kroger, and One Drop, as well as the AgaMatrix brand. Prior to AgaMatrix, John was the Managing Director of the Inverness Medical Limited (“Inverness”) subsidiary in Scotland. During his 21-month tenure, he spearheaded efforts to increase the operation’s efficiency to cost-effectively produce over 1 billion test strips annually and lead the transfer of the company’s meter manufacturing operations to China.

Prior to Inverness, John was the Vice President of Operations for Bionostics Inc., a medical reagents and controls company, and the Vice President of Manufacturing for Nova Biomedical, a medical instrumentation company. John is also the founder of Medical Devices, Inc., an engineering consulting company specializing in the offshore contract manufacturing of high-volume consumer medical devices.
