Akshay Parundekar

Akshay Parundekar is a seasoned scientist with a strong background in systems biology and computational methodologies. Currently serving as a Scientist I at Aganitha since November 2024, Akshay previously worked as a Consultant at ARCON, focusing on anomaly detection in cybersecurity through unsupervised learning and graph theoretic methods. Prior experience includes positions as a Computational Biologist at Gestalt Strategies Inc, where mathematical modeling and machine learning were applied to enhance patient selection in clinical trials, and as a Research Associate at the Biomolecular Engineering Lab at IIT Bombay, examining retroactivity in synthetic biology designs. Akshay completed a PhD in Systems Biology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where research concentrated on enzymatic cascades and dose-response analysis, following an M.Tech Integrated in Biotechnology from DY Patil University.
