Michael Scruggs is an experienced educator and coordinator with a strong focus on community development and holistic support services. Currently serving as the Powerlines Site Coordinator for Agape Child & Family Services since June 2018, Michael leads initiatives aimed at enhancing educational and social outcomes in the Whitehaven community. Previous roles include working as a Consultant and Educator for Charter Schools USA, where notable accomplishments included a feature on The Ellen DeGeneres Show for successfully mainstreaming education for various student populations. Michael's diverse background includes positions in project management, admissions recruitment, and special education, complemented by a Master’s degree in Education from Union University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Memphis.

Agape Child & Family Services is a Christian-based organization providing children and families with healthy homes throughout the Mid-South. Through support and wrap-around services, Agape seeks to provoke community restoration. Agape's services include: homeless services, foster care, adoption, maternity services and counseling, school-based initiatives and community support and referral.
