Anatoliy Kats

Anatoliy Kats is a Senior Data Engineer at Agathos, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at AK WellTech as a Software Engineering Team Lead, where they focused on delivering mental health services through software engineering consulting. Anatoliy also held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Reviving Mind, where they contributed to product enhancement and advised the CEO on technical and clinical matters. At Pfizer, Anatoliy served as a Contract Software Engineer and led a team to improve the software development life cycle on the RNA data management platform. Anatoliy also worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon Robotics, where they developed a metrics logging system and a reporting frontend for a new robot type. Before that, Anatoliy was a Contract Software Engineer at Evolv Technology, where they designed and implemented a system for security breach alerts. Anatoliy co-founded CERA Marketing and served as the CTO, leading a team to build systems for detecting suspicious transactions and preventing theft in supermarkets. Anatoliy has experience as a lecturer at ITMO University and as a Senior Researcher at Forecsys, where they coordinated teams and proposed algorithms for search engine indexing and hierarchical topic modeling. Anatoliy started their career as a Data Scientist at Rambler, developing a movie recommender system and a rating fraud detector.

Anatoliy Kats completed their education at several prestigious institutions. Anatoliy began their academic journey at Rutgers University from 2010 to 2011, where they pursued graduate studies in Computer Science. Following this, Anatoliy attended the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2009, where they earned their MSc in Computer Vision. Prior to that, they attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Most recently, Anatoliy enrolled at Lesley University from 2019 to 2023, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
