Melinda Leonardo

Melinda Leonardo, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of executive search and higher education. Melinda started their career in 2002 at Academic Search, Inc., where they served as the Director of Consulting Services. In this role, they were responsible for developing orientation training for new hires and training new consultants on the search process. Melinda played a key role in the growth of the consultant team during their eight-year tenure.

In 2010, Melinda worked as an Independent Contractor, providing executive training for higher education search training. Melinda trained new consultants hired for AGB Search, focusing on search process steps, industry standards, and client/consultant relationships. Additionally, they served as a co-consultant for the presidential search at Cardinal Stritch University.

In 2013, Melinda joined AGB Search, LLC as an Executive Search Consultant. Melinda later took on the role of Director, AGB Interim Search in January 2020. Melinda'sresponsibilities included coordinating executive searches and providing expertise in higher education leadership recruitment.

In 2018, Melinda also worked as the Coordinator for Programming at AGB Institute for Leadership & Governance in Higher Education.

Melinda Leonardo, Ph.D., completed their education with a gradual progression through different academic institutions. Melinda obtained their BA in Communication from Alma College, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued an MA in Communication at George Mason University, attending between 2003 and 2005. Showing a continued passion for the field, they then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2015.
