Melissa Alegre

Melissa Alegre currently serves as the Associate General Counsel at AGC Biologics, having assumed this role in October 2023. Previously, as Corporate Counsel and Director of Legal at Eliem Therapeutics from January 2022 to March 2023, Melissa advised on legal and compliance issues across various functional areas and managed life sciences agreements. Prior to that, Melissa worked at Zymeworks Inc. as an Attorney and Manager in Legal from 2018 to January 2022, focusing on contract negotiation and privacy risk management. Melissa also served as Counsel for Android Alpha Fund, LLC from 2010 to 2017, developing IP strategies, and began career as an Associate at Kenyon & Kenyon LLP, where expertise included patent law and pre-trial litigation. Melissa holds a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, along with an Intro to Programming Nanodegree from Udacity.
