Gordon Hanson has a strong background in agricultural financial services and strategy. Gordon currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at AgCountry Farm Credit Services, where they provide executive leadership in innovation, data strategy, analytics, and strategic program management. Prior to this role, they were the President & CEO of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, where they were responsible for strategic and executive leadership for the $1.4 billion agricultural lender. Gordon also served as the SVP & Chief Risk Officer at Farm Credit Mid-America, where they chaired the Credit Committee and provided leadership to over 1,150 leaders and staff. Earlier in their career, Gordon held various roles at the Farm Credit Administration, including Credit Risk Manager and Supervisory Senior Examiner. Gordon began their career in the agricultural industry as a farm operator and manager in Colorado.

From 1983 to 1985, Gordon attended North Dakota State University and obtained a degree in Agricultural Economics.
In 1985, they briefly attended the University of Minnesota, where they studied General & Agriculture.
In 1982 and 1983, Gordon attended the University of North Dakota, focusing on General studies.
From 1991 to 1993, they attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In 1998, Gordon enrolled in the College for Financial Planning and completed the Financial Planning Education Program.
In 2018, they went to Harvard University to pursue a program on Risk Management for Corporate Leaders.
Additionally, Gordon obtained various certifications, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the CFP Board in 1994, the Commissioned Bank Examiner certification from the Farm Credit Administration in 1989, and the Supervisory Development Program certification from the Farm Credit Administration in 1994. Gordon also received the Graduate Banking School certification from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. Lastly, they completed the Corporate Risk Management certificate course from Harvard University in December 2018.
