The sudden shift in U.S. foreign policy brought the USAID funded Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural and Advisory Services Activity (AEAS), to an abrupt closure, leaving a disturbing void in the efforts towards food security and economic development of rural poor farmers.

AgDEG is a movement, a beacon of hope to sustain, scale-up and surpass the interventions of the former USAID FtF AEAS. Hence AgDEG is locally rooted and equipped with strategic market system models and approaches for sustainable agricultural development aimed at driving economic growth and transforming rural livelihoods.

At AgDEG, we’re committed to empowering smallholder farmers, supporting MSMEs, and advancing digital, climate-smart, and community l-led agricultural solutions across Benue state, Nigeria and beyond.

Our Vision: To actively promote, nurture, and support MSMEs and farmer-led private agricultural extension services for vulnerable groups and rural smallholder farmers.

Our Mission: To unlock the full potential of the agricultural sector in contributing to economic development, and the growth of rural Nigeria and the West Africa region.
