April L. Houle

April L. Houle, SHRM-SCP has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. April L. has held various roles in the human resources field.

April started their career at Burbank Community YMCA in 1994, where they worked as a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor, Head Lifeguard, Aquatics Director, Health & PE Director, and Sr. Director of Healthy Lifestyles. April L. then transitioned to the role of Sr. Program Director until 2013.

In 2013, April joined Burbank Community YMCA again as the Director of Human Resources & Risk Management. April L. held this position until 2018.

In the same year, April joined YMCA of Glendale as an HR Consultant for a brief period of time.

Since 2018, April has been working at Age of Learning. April L. started as a Senior Human Resources Generalist and progressed to Manager, Senior Manager, and currently serves as the Director of HR Operations.

April L. Houle attended Burbank High School from 1991 to 1993. April L. obtained their SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in June 2017. In May 2017, they also obtained the Mental Health First Aid USA certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. In 2016, they received the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification from the Burbank Fire Department. Additionally, in 2014, they became an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. In the past, they obtained several certifications from the YMCA of the USA, including Multi-Team Leader in 2009, Team Leader in 2009, YMCA Professional Director in 2003, and YMCA Director in 2002.
