Shannon O'Rourke

Shannon O'Rourke currently serves as the Office of English Learners Curriculum Specialist at Alexandria City Public Schools and has an extensive background in curriculum design and instructional leadership. With experience as a Curriculum Designer at Age of Learning, Inc. and a former Content Writer at Goalbook, Shannon has developed original ELA curriculum content aligned with Common Core Standards. Previous roles include Curriculum Manager and Instructional Facilitator at Shoreline School District, where significant improvements in student reading scores were achieved through innovative training and mentorship. Shannon has also held positions including Computer Systems Administrator and Project Manager, contributing to digital curriculum frameworks that enhanced learning experiences for thousands of students.
