Marco Marchetti

Marco Marchetti is a highly experienced professional in health technology assessment, currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Member State Coordination Group on HTA at the European Commission since November 2022. With an extensive background at Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) since 2002, Marco holds roles in the Finance and Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and as Treasurer and Executive Board member. Alongside these responsibilities, Marco has been the Director of the Health Technology Assessment Unit at Agenas since March 2022 and has contributed to the International Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment since 2009. Previous leadership positions include serving as Director of the National Center for Health Technology Assessment at Istituto Superiore di Sanità from January 2017 to February 2022 and as Director of the Technology Assessment and Innovation Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS from February 1995 to December 2016. Marco holds multiple degrees from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, including specializations in Legal Medicine and Public Health, demonstrating a robust foundation in the medical field.
