Mehdi Benaïssa

Mehdi Benaïssa is currently serving as the Task Team Leader for the Energy Division at AFD - Agence Française de Développement, overseeing energy projects in Uzbekistan, Senegal, and Burkina Faso since September 2023. Previously, from August 2021 to July 2023, Benaïssa managed significant infrastructure projects in Côte d'Ivoire, including energy and water initiatives totaling nearly 600 million euros. Prior roles include Project Manager for Akuo Energy, focusing on renewable energy projects across Africa, and various positions in research and project management related to renewable energies and sustainable development. Benaïssa holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Mines Paris - PSL and other advanced degrees in energy and environmental law.
