Theresa Abrassart

Theresa Abrassart is a Disaster Risk Management and Climate Adaptation Specialist currently serving as a Task Team Leader in the Governance Division at Agence Française de Développement since May 2024. Prior to this role, Theresa worked at The World Bank from October 2017 to May 2024 in various positions, including Urban, Disaster Risk Management & Climate Adaptation Specialist Consultant for the MENA Region and Urban Development Consultant for the Building Regulation for Resilience Program. Additional experience includes serving as an Urban Africa Risk Knowledge Research Fellow at the International Institute for Environment and Development and Urban Designer at UCL, with earlier roles at UN-Habitat, AIA New York, Atelier Barda architecture, and the NYC Department of City Planning. Theresa holds a Master’s Degree in Building & Urban Design from The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL, completed from 2016 to 2017.
