Miriam Ciscar Blat

Miriam Ciscar Blat is an experienced professional with a strong focus on gender, environment, and humanitarian issues. Currently serving as the Chief of the Sectorial Branch at AGENCIA ESPAÑOLA DE COOPERACION INTERNACIONAL PARA EL DESARROLLO (AECID), Miriam has extensive experience in academia as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Valencia, specializing in Gender Based Violence in Law. Previous roles include GBV Sub Cluster Coordinator at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and various positions within UNFPA addressing humanitarian coordination and gender consultancy. Miriam holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master's in International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Response from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master's in Gender from Universitat Jaume I. With a solid background in project management, policy development, and interagency collaboration, Miriam is well-equipped to address complex issues related to women's rights and humanitarian response.
