Dhan Chand has a diverse work experience in the field of research and drug discovery. Dhan'smost recent position was as Vice President of Research at Agenus, where they have been working since 2013. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Senior Scientific Director, Scientific Director, and Senior Scientist, focusing on immunomodulatory drug discovery and T cell biology. Dhan Chand also gained experience in scientific affairs as a Scientific Affairs Associate at Agenus.
Before joining Agenus, Dhan Chand worked at the University of Toronto, where they held multiple roles. Dhan served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Project Co-leader, managing research projects in fertility and metabolism. Dhan also supervised and led a group of research assistants and technicians, as well as collaborated with oncologists and a urologist from Mount Sinai Hospital. Additionally, Dhan Chand worked as a Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto.
Dhan Chand completed their Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physiology from the University of Toronto between 2003 and 2007. Following this, they pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell and Systems Biology - Neuroendocrinology from 2007 to 2013.
