Nijetta Franklin is a dedicated professional in the field of community care and child welfare, currently serving as a Community Care Coordinator at AgeOptions since April 2023. Previously, Nijetta held the position of Foster Care Supervisor at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) from July 2022 to April 2023. With extensive experience as a Child Welfare Specialist at Metropolitan Family Services, JCFS Chicago, and MENTOR Illinois, Nijetta has developed expertise across various roles in child welfare. Nijetta began the career at Webster Cantrell Youth Advocacy, contributing to the field from 2012 to 2015. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Gerontology from Concordia University Chicago (2015-2017) and a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Millikin University (2007-2011).

AgeOptions is a nonprofit organization connecting older adults and those who care for them with resources and service options so they can live their lives to the fullest. Since 1974, our mission has been to sustain and promote independence for older persons in their own homes and communities. As the Area Agency on Aging of suburban Cook County, Illinois, we advocate, plan, coordinate and fund services for older adults. Together with a network of community-based senior service organizations, we connect residents with vital services such as information and assistance, community dining programs and home-delivered meals, housekeeping help, employment services, access to benefits and support for family caregivers.
