Peter Byer

Peter Byer is a seasoned professional in the field of advocacy and patient navigation, currently serving as a Planning and Advocacy Specialist at AgeOptions since September 2021. Previously, Peter worked as a Patient Navigator at the American Cancer Society from June 2006 to June 2012, where responsibilities included coordinating a patient navigation program in collaboration with prestigious institutions such as Northwestern University and the University of Illinois in Chicago, focusing on assisting patients with abnormal prostate cancer screenings. Earlier in Peter's career, the role of Family Advocate at Casa Myrna involved supporting mothers with teenage sons in securing shelter services.
