Taisha Selby is a Health Promotions Specialist at AgeOptions since July 2023, with extensive experience in fitness and health. Licensed as a Zumba instructor since June 2011, Taisha leads group classes, motivating participants to embrace physical activity. Taisha has served as a Personal Trainer at FitFamilies Personal Training since April 2009 and has been self-employed as an Exercise Physiologist, specializing in tailored exercise programs. Previous roles include Certified Personal Trainer at Downers Grove Park District, Group Fitness Instructor as a Licensed Pound Instructor, and Personal Trainer at LifeTime Fitness. Taisha's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Chicago and is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Health at Benedictine University. Additionally, Taisha has experience in the banking sector, having worked as a Teller Supervisor at Harris Bank from 1995 to 1999.

AgeOptions is a nonprofit organization connecting older adults and those who care for them with resources and service options so they can live their lives to the fullest. Since 1974, our mission has been to sustain and promote independence for older persons in their own homes and communities. As the Area Agency on Aging of suburban Cook County, Illinois, we advocate, plan, coordinate and fund services for older adults. Together with a network of community-based senior service organizations, we connect residents with vital services such as information and assistance, community dining programs and home-delivered meals, housekeeping help, employment services, access to benefits and support for family caregivers.
