David Lichtenstein is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within healthcare organizations. Currently serving as the Medical Director at the College of Mount Saint Vincent's ABSN program and AgeWell New York since June 2022 and April 2015, respectively, Lichtenstein has a robust background in medical education and surgical practice. Previously, Lichtenstein held the position of Assistant Chief Surgeon at the NYPD from November 2019 to June 2023 and served as Medical Educator and Associate Professor at St. John's Episcopal Hospital from January 1999 to June 2023, focusing on instruction in Internal Medicine. Additionally, Lichtenstein was the Deputy Chief Surgeon for the New York City Police Department from December 2011 to November 2019. Lichtenstein earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 1989 to 1993.
