Ahnaf Ryan

Ahnaf Ryan is a quantitative research analyst at AGF Investments since June 2025, having previously held the position of quantitative researcher at the same company from May 2024 to December 2024. Currently, Ahnaf also serves as a machine learning research assistant at the University of Waterloo under Professor Chris Fletcher. Experience includes implementing investment strategies using alternate data through machine learning, creating algorithms for document similarity scoring, and utilizing large-scale web scraping techniques to enhance data collection processes at Manifest Climate. Previous roles include data science positions at CarbonTerra and Cineplex, alongside data analyst roles at JANA Corporation and York Region. Ahnaf holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Statistics and Computational Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is pursuing a Master of Mathematics in Computational Mathematics at the same institution.
