Charles Jordan has several years of experience in various roles related to systems administration and engineering. Charles started their career as a Systems Administrator at SAIC in 2002, where they redesigned subnet addressing and created a new virus protection environment. From 2003 to 2011, they worked at Brandes Associates and Cirrus Health, where they were responsible for system security, configuration management, and support for tactical systems. In 2011, they joined Nova Technologies as a Systems Engineer, focusing on system security and configuration management for Navy Seal Teams. In 2012, they worked at ITT Excelis as a Senior Systems Administrator and Network Administrator. Charles'sresponsibilities included managing Windows infrastructure and providing support for U.S. Army Stryker Battalion in Afghanistan. In 2013, they worked as a VMware Engineer at CALNET. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Senior Watch Officer in the US Navy. Most recently, they have been working as a Lead Enterprise Systems Administrator at Agile Defense since 2017.
Charles Jordan earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from ITT Technical Institute-San Diego from 2002 to 2004. Charles then obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from American InterContinental University between 2004 and 2006. In terms of certifications, they became a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) in November 2019 and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) in December 2017. Additionally, they became a VMware Certified Professional 6.5 (VCP6) - Data Center Virtualization and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in 2017. Prior to that, in 2007, they obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA and in 2002, they became a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
