Kate Bitely

Kate Bitely has a diverse work experience in marketing, communications, and public affairs. Kate is currently the Marketing and Communications Director at Agile Defense, where they focus on building an agile marketing portfolio and strengthening brand awareness. Prior to this, they worked as the Marketing Communications Manager at QinetiQ US and as a Marketing Manager at Avantus Federal. Kate also served as a Public Affairs Officer at the United States Department of Defense, where they were responsible for overseeing the digital content lead for internal and external communications. Kate has also worked as a Curatorial Intern at Prince William County, where they cataloged objects and created labels for a historic exhibit. Earlier in their career, Kate worked as a Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and as an Outreach and Communications Specialist at Excalibur Associates, where they managed the digital engagement efforts for the Office of Emergency Management at the U.S. Department of State.

Kate Bitely has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from William & Mary - Raymond A. Mason School of Business, which they obtained starting in 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History at George Mason University from 2017 to 2022. In 2020, Kate also received a Public Affairs certification from the Defense Information School. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from Virginia Tech. Additionally, Kate has obtained certifications in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University in 2023 and Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in 2022.
