Before that, they worked as a Sr Software Developer at Perspecta, where they reviewed and updated technical documentation, prepared test plans, and reviewed Fortify scans. Nicholas also held the position of Senior Technical Consultant at Hexagon US Federal, where they developed processes, reviewed and made recommendations for corrections to real property records, and prepared reports. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Oracle Developer at Phacil, Inc, a Sr. Application Consultant at Intergraph Government Solutions, a Senior Software Developer at Tyonek Native Corp, and an Information Assurance Security Officer/Server Administrator at the US Army. Nicholas also served as an Information Systems Operator/Analyst at the US Army and as an Information Systems Analyst in the US Army Reserves. Nicholas Black completed a Master of Information Systems degree in Business Analytics from the University of Phoenix from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix from 2016 to 2020. Before their university education, Nicholas served in the US Army and did not acquire any specific degree or field of study. Additionally, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification from CompTIA in October 2019.
