August Specht

August Specht currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Agilent Technologies since June 2025. Prior to this role, August held various senior positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific from April 2009 to June 2025, including Vice President of R&D for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division and Vice President of Global Research and Development for Life Science Mass Spectrometry. August began professional career at Varian, Inc., where roles included LC/MS Products Engineering Manager and Research Scientist from 2003 to April 2009. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and General Management from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The University of British Columbia, and a BSc.H. in Chemistry from Queen's University.
