Karen Chapman

Karen Chapman serves as the Associate Vice President of R&D at Agilent Technologies since January 2023, bringing extensive experience in genomics and biotechnology. Previously, as Chief Scientific Officer at Eclipsebio, Karen led the innovation and commercialization of novel NGS-based technologies, successfully raised $14M in Series A financing, and developed the first commercial RNA structure probing product. Previous roles include Vice President of Research at OncoCyte Corporation, where Karen supervised non-invasive cancer diagnostics research, and positions at Lineage Cell Therapeutics, Advanced Cell Technology, and Origen Therapeutics, focusing on stem cell research and business development. Karen holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, an MS in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Biology from Cornell University.
