Kari Covington

Kari Covington has worked in various roles in the professional world since 2009. Kari began their career as the VA/Regional Market Manager at Bacchus Coastal Marketing, where they were responsible for managing, hiring, and staffing events for the state of Virginia. In 2010, they worked as a Social Media and Marketing Intern at The Humane Society of the United States, where they identified, adapted, and implemented promotional events to increase animal adoption and maintained a website and social media pages available to the public. In 2011, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Development Consulting Services, where they developed and managed online marketing campaigns while effectively driving brand awareness, engagement and traffic to social media pages. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Kearney & Company as a Management Analyst, where they were responsible for meeting notes and various tasks throughout the implementation process of an automated grant and loan application system. Finally, they served as a Director and Business Analyst at Agiliko from 2014 to the present.

Kari Covington obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Christopher Newport University between 2006 and 2010. In 2021, they earned a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. In 2019, they earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
