Izzy Brand

Izzy Brand has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. They are currently working at Agility Robotics as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked as an Autonomy Intern at the same company. In 2019, Izzy worked as a Robotics Research Intern at Microsoft. They also have experience as the Head TA of Designing Humanity Centered Robots at Brown University in 2018. As an Undergraduate Researcher at the Humans to Robots Laboratory, Izzy gained valuable research experience from 2017 to 2018. They also worked as a Software Autonomy Intern at Skydio, where they contributed to projects related to wind estimation and motion planning. In addition, Izzy served as the Head Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Robotics at Brown University in 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Math and Computer Science at Brown University from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, in 2014 and 2015, Izzy attended Harvard Extension School where they studied Multivariate Calculus. Their education journey began at Newton North High School from 2011 to 2015.

In terms of certifications, Izzy obtained a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2019. They also obtained a Wilderness First Aid certification from SOLO Wilderness Medical School in February 2017. Additionally, Izzy has a HAM Radio Technician certification from ARRL, The national association for Amateur Radio, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
