Karan Khokar has had an extensive career in robotics and engineering, beginning in 2005 with a role as a Software Engineer at Patni Computer Systems Ltd. In 2007, they took on a role as a Research Assistant (Robotics) at the University of South Florida, followed by a Mechanical Engineering Intern role at Key Safety Systems in 2009. In 2013, they began working at TRACLabs as a Robotics Research Scientist and Robotics Intern, and in 2016 they became a Sales Engineer (Robotics) at Knightscope. In 2019, they took on a Postdoc role at the University of California, Berkeley, and in 2022, they began working at Agility Robotics as a Senior Solutions Architect, Deployment Architect, and Robotics Application Engineer.
Karan Khokar obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering in 2005. Karan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida, which they completed in 2009. Karan Khokar then continued their studies at the University of South Florida, obtaining their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics in 2013. In November 2020, they obtained a Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services.
