Ryan Cook has worked for nine companies since 2011. Ryan began their career at Texas Instruments as a Product Development Engineer, where they analyzed test data to ensure products met specifications and developed a Python script to automate the data analysis process. In 2012, they were an Engineering Intern at Boeing, where they tested hardware for the C-17 and developed a script to automate data collection. Ryan also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech Research Institute, where they worked on an internal research and development project involving signal identification for radar systems. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Systems Engineer II at Raytheon, where they worked on guidance algorithm development, simulation development and integration, performance analysis, and script development. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Appian Corporation. In 2019, they joined Mapbox as a Software Engineering Manager, where they managed multiple software engineering teams and led a group of engineers in developing a new set of Search APIs. In 2022, they will join Meta as a Staff Software Engineer (E6) and Agility Robotics as a Software Platform Lead, where they will be building out the Cloud and Web Services organization and looking for skilled Cloud Platform, DevOps, Data, and Software engineers.
Ryan Cook obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering & Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2008 and 2012. Ryan then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2013.
