Ive is an expert in real estate development, transactions and litigation, with a focus on public and administrative law in the broadest sense.

He assists real estate developers, SMEs, investors, public authorities (including cities and municipalities, provinces and the Flemish Region), non-profit and private individuals regarding their projects, from A to Z.

Ive has over 17 years of experience within (intern)national law firms in dealing with the most complex and challenging projects in all sectors: (mixed) urban development projects, infrastructure projects of (above) local level, residential, allotments, SME developments, renewable energy (windmills, solar panels), retail, logistics, leisure, hotels, healthcare, industrial.

Within the Lige (now Agio Legal) team, his specialization extends to all aspects of public and administrative law: environmental law (including urban development, environmental law (including soil pollution), environmental permits, spatial planning, administrative and criminal enforcement), expropriation law, government liability, government contracts, public-private partnerships, government contracts, energy law, ...

His approach is solution-oriented and pragmatic, with an eye for the diversity and complexity of the interests, while always trying to avoid litigation. In the event of a dispute, Ive has all the competences to defend your interests before the various administrative authorities as well as the administrative and judicial courts (e.g. Council for Permit Disputes, Council of State, Constitutional Court, European, civil, criminal and commercial courts).

Ive is a member of the editorial board of the Magazine for Construction Law and Real Estate, regularly publishes in scientific journals and is frequently invited as a speaker.

Since 2017, he has been appointed by the Minister of the Environment as an expert in Spatial Planning within the Regional Environmental Permit Commission and is also holder of the certificate of cassation attorney in criminal cases.
