Leonardo Rivadeneyra

Leo Rivadeneyra, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director of Translational Medicine at Agios Pharmaceuticals, a position held since January 2022, after progressing through roles including Senior Scientist and Scientist in the same discipline. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin from April 2017 to January 2022 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Academia Nacional de Medicina de Buenos Aires from April 2011 to April 2017, where significant contributions were made in understanding neutrophil interactions with Coxsackievirus B3 and their implications in inflammatory responses. Earlier academic endeavors included specialization in platelet and megakaryocyte biology during the PhD program at the University of Buenos Aires, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. Additional instructional experience was gained as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad Austral - Argentina and research experiences included work on recombinant baculovirus systems and drug delivery technologies.
