Valerie C.

Valerie C. has a strong background in pharmaceutical research and development, with experience in process chemistry and drug substance development. Valerie is currently working as an Associate Director of Process Chemistry at Agios Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Drug Substance Development and Manufacturing at Tiburio Therapeutics from 2019 to 2020. Valerie also worked at Alkermes as a Senior Scientist in Chemical Development from 2014 to 2019 and at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist I in Chemical Development from 2011 to 2013. Before their industry roles, they were a Visiting Scholar at The Ohio State University and a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan.

Valerie C. pursued their education in the field of Chemistry and Biological Sciences. From 1997 to 2001, they attended the University of Pittsburgh, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently, they enrolled at The Ohio State University from 2001 to 2007, during which they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
