Chris Barry has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Chris started their career in 1990 as a Senior Vice President at AmeriCredit, where they played a crucial role in developing and managing various functions of the auto financing source for subprime lending. In 2002, they joined JP Morgan Chase as a Regional Credit Executive and National Director of Consumer Direct Lending. After that, they worked at Sonic Automotive as the Director of Retail Lending and Cornerstone Acceptance, overseeing operations and managing lending relationships.
In 2005, Chris founded American Credit Acceptance (ACA), an auto finance lender specializing in the deep subprime lending segment. Chris served as the CEO of ACA and successfully implemented innovative strategies and operating structures that propelled the company to become an industry leader.
Chris later became the CEO of LendGenuity and then joined GWC Warranty as the VP of Sales. At GWC Warranty, Chris managed a sales force of 70 professionals across five regions, leading the company to double its sales revenue and profit.
Currently, Chris is the Senior Vice President of Sales at AGORA Data, Inc., where they are responsible for leading the sales focus of the online marketplace for buying and selling loans. Their role involves revolutionizing the fragmented and unsecure secondary loan sales market by bringing together a community of sellers and buyers.
Chris Barry attended Louisiana Tech University from 1984 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
