George Agostini

Chairman & CEO at Agostini Construction

As a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, George made the most of his spare time on board ships voraciously studying business strategies and efficiencies. When he returned home, he was ready to join his father and brother in the family construction company. His ability to make quick calculations combined with an educated knack for running projects efficiently made George the perfect choice to take over the company's field operations, maximizing productivity and reducing costs.

After his father retired, George became the sole owner of the company and grew its revenue and reputation to what they are today. He has had the distinguished honor of being a finalist for the 1989 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from both Ernst & Young Accounting firm and Inc. Magazine. His superb business acumen, ethical character and entrepreneurial spirit has also won him an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University.

As a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, a former Chairperson of the Catholic Charities Appeal, a member of the President’s Council for Save the Bay, and a former member of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels, George, with his family, established a private charitable foundation in 2010. Since its inception, the foundation has built a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa, has drilled multiple wells in Africa and Haiti and has shipped medical supplies to many countries in need.

In his spare time George enjoys golf, traveling to Florida and Bermuda and, most importantly, spending time with his three children, their spouses and his grandchildren.
