Quality Manager at Agricarbon

Malcolm S. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Malcolm currently works as a Quality Manager at Agricarbon as of November 2022. Malcolm held two roles during their tenure - Quality Manager (Curing & Verification) from November 2019 to May 2020 and Senior Quality Engineer (Measure/Metrology) from June 2012 to November 2019. In these positions, they accomplished various tasks, including successful Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) across all departments, project managing cross-functional teams for new measurement system installations, and managing metrology and calibration requirements to conform to ISO9001/TS16949 standards.

Prior to Michelin, Malcolm worked at Tokheim as a Quality Engineer from November 2006 to June 2012. In this role, they were responsible for quality in pumps and meters used in fuel dispensers. Their responsibilities included quality planning, conducting DFMEA and PFMEA studies, leading Kaizen events, and auditing global suppliers to ensure product quality.

Earlier in their career, Malcolm held positions at Stephen Clark Fabrications Ltd. as a Project Engineer for a brief period in 2006 and at APW (Dundee) as a Product Engineer/Quality Leader from 2003 to 2006. In these roles, they acted as the primary contact for customers, analyzed quality data, developed quality plans, and managed the quality function at the Dundee site and supplier sites.

Malcolm's career started at APW (Dundee & Hamilton) as a Production Engineer from 1999 to 2003. In this role, they gained experience in world-class performance, problem-solving, and cost reduction through analysis of processes and the supply chain.

Their early work experience includes a role as a Project Engineer at High-Speed Production Ltd from 1993 to 1999. Here, they programmed CNC presses, implemented cost reduction initiatives, conducted market research, and served as a customer engineer for Digital Equipment Corp.

Malcolm S. started their education journey at Ardrossan Academy in 1979 and completed their studies in 1985. Malcolm pursued various subjects during this time, including English, Maths, Physics, Geography, and Art, earning their Higher degree. Following this, they enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University in 1985, where they studied Engineering (TIS) and graduated with a B.Eng. Hons in 1990.
