Daniela Vergara is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in evolutionary biology and crop specialization. Currently, Daniela serves as an Emerging Crop Specialist at Cornell University since September 2021, while also holding positions as a Lecturer and Research Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder since 2018. Additionally, Daniela works as a Legal Expert Witness at CGRI, LLC since January 2017 and has been the Director and Founder of the Agricultural Genomics Foundation since June 2014. Previous roles include R&D Advisor at Front Range Biosciences from August 2019 to April 2021 and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2013 to January 2017, focusing on cannabis genomics. Daniela’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology from Indiana University Bloomington and a BS in Microbiology from Universidad de Los Andes.
