Brendan W. has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Brendan began their career at Cisco Systems in 1998, where they served as a Software Development Manager and Senior Software Engineer, leading a team of engineers and contributing to high-end routing products. From 2005 to 2007, Brendan worked at VaST Systems Technology as a Software Development and IT Manager, overseeing a team of 16 professionals and developing virtual processor modeling technology. Brendan then joined Boronia Capital Pty Ltd as a Technical Lead and Senior Software Developer, specializing in systematic algorithmic futures and forex trading. Brendan later held the position of Global Head of Development at Tibra Capital, where they managed a group of developers working on low latency/ultra high-frequency trading systems. In 2012, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at ANZ/E*Trade Australia, contributing to the enhancement of a real-time equities and options trading platform. From 2013 to 2017, Brendan served as a Technical Lead and Senior Software Developer at ASX, leading the blockchain project. Brendan then joined identitii, a fintech start-up, as a Senior Software Engineer, experimenting with blockchain technology and API implementations. Brendan W. attended Killara High School where they obtained their Higher School Certificate (HSC). After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree with a specialization in Computer Systems.
