Gürol Gürkan

Gürol Gürkan has held various roles in the technology industry since 1998. Their first role was as a Software Developer/IT Manager at Support Yazılım from 1999 to 2007. During this period, they were responsible for developing internet and intranet applications for Arcelik A.S., developing an e-store application for Raksotek, technical responsibility for a web-based ERP system for İzocam, porting a software application to a web platform, managing software teams, and project management for key account firms such as Erdemir, İsdemir, and FinansBank. From 2007 to 2010, Gürol held the role of IT Manager at Yeşilada Bank and Kibris Faisal Islam Bankasi Ltd. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Birnet Software. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Software Development Manager at Nomad Commerce, where they managed third-party teams at both Ziraat Teknoloji and Akbank Bankacılık Merkezi, and was responsible for project management, consensus, profit/loss reporting, and budget management. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Solution Architect at XPAY FİNANSAL TEKNOLOJİLERİ A.S. Finally, from 2018 to 2020, Gürol held the role of CTO at Agrio Finans.

Gürol Gürkan began their educational journey in 1989 when they attended Haydarpaşa Teknik Lisesi until 1993. Gürol then moved on to Marmara University where they completed a degree in Computer Programming from the Bilgisayar ve Teknoloji Yüksekokulu, Bilgisayar Teknolojisi ve Programlama program in 1996. No additional certifications have been reported.
