Dr. (HC) Maria Fernanda Reyes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, advocacy, and sustainable agriculture. Currently serving as Global Advocacy Manager and Regulatory Affairs Manager for AgroFresh since January 2023, Maria also holds leadership roles as G100 Global Chair for Agriculture, Agritourism, and Agtech, and President of the Women Economic Forum in New York. As the founder and president of AdoptaHero, Maria is dedicated to empowering women and promoting gender equality. Previous positions include Manager of Global Regulatory Affairs at Sun Gro Horticulture, and various roles at Agrinos, including Global Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, and Chief of Staff to the CEO. Maria's career began at Cummins Inc. and Walmart, focusing on customer service and training. Maria's educational credentials include degrees from Cornell University and Stanford University, along with certifications in sustainability studies, culminating in an honorary degree in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from Jharkhand Rai University.
