Andrew Mack has a long and varied work experience beginning in 1995 with The World Bank, where they served as a Private Sector Development Specialist and Team Leader. During their time there, they designed and won approval for a $15 million Public Private Partnership project in Angola and negotiated and drafted a $35 million corporate restructuring project in Indonesia. Andrew also coordinated budget and led country teams for Angola, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, as well as establishing a Knowledge Management system for over 200 World Bank staff.
In 2002, Andrew Mack joined Development Finance International, Inc. as the Director of Africa and Middle East. During their time there, they lead managed a multi-million dollar relationship with a Fortune 100 IT company and was responsible for increasing retainer business ten-fold in less than 12 months. Andrew also identified $23 million in new finance deals between DFI, Mexican firms, and the US Import-Export Bank and helped clients close more than $3.5 million in WB Africa business in the first 6 months of 2005.
In 2005, Andrew Mack founded and became the CEO of AMGlobal Consulting. Theirfirm works with companies and international organizations to help them do more and better business at the intersection of economic development, new markets, and social value. The firm is internationally-recognized for expertise in Public-Private Partnerships, Corporate Social Responsibility, and technology policy and has worked with major corporate leaders like Chevron, Toyota, ABInbev, and Oracle, donors like the World Bank and USAID, and early stage companies focusing on internet and green technologies.
In 2017, Andrew Mack took on the role of Business Constituency Chair for ICANN. In 2018, they founded Agromovil, an international software and data company connecting farmers with markets around the world. Agromovil's app + messaging + analytics platform creates global visibility for small farmers and their products to help them get better prices. In 2020, Andrew Mack became a Senior Non-Resident Fellow for the Atlantic Council.
Andrew Mack obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Amherst College in 1985, with a major in History and Political Science (Magna Cum Laude). Andrew then went on to The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Relations/ International Economics, with a concentration in International Trade, in 1990.
