Jake Englaender

Senior Director Of Bioprocess at AgroSpheres

Jake Englaender has a diverse background in bioprocess development, metabolic engineering, protein expression, and microbiology. Jake is currently serving as the Director of Bioprocess Development at AgroSpheres. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University, where their research focused on the metabolic engineering of E. coli for mevalonate production. Jake also conducted research as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they explored alternate microbial expression systems for heterologous protein and metabolic pathways. In addition, they gained experience as a Microbiology Intern at bioMerieux, where they optimized the BacT/ALERT system for identifying microbial contamination. Jake Englaender completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology from Southeast Missouri State University from 2007 to 2011. Jake then pursued a Ph.D. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2011 to 2016.
