Elissa Barrick Phr

Elissa Barrick has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Elissa started their career at Target as a Softlines Team Member, where they provided excellent customer service and maintained the organization of the clothing department. Elissa then moved on to Sara Lee, where they gained experience in various roles, including Management Support and completing tasks in the Security and Safety departments. Afterward, they joined Shine Bros. Corp. as part of the Human Resources team, overseeing HR functions for multiple manufacturing facilities and managing recruitment processes. In 2014, Elissa joined AgState, where they held positions such as Human Resources Recruitment & Talent Manager, Director of Human Resources, and currently serves as the VP of Human Resources. Their responsibilities at AgState included identifying personnel needs, developing leadership programs, and collaborating with managers and supervisors to determine training needs. Elissa Barrick holds professional certifications as a PHR and SHRM-CP.

Elissa Barrick, PHR, SHRM-CP has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Human Resources from Buena Vista University, which they obtained in 2010. Prior to that, they completed an Associates of Arts Degree in Management at Iowa Central Community College from 2007 to 2008. Elissa graduated from Pocahontas Area High School in 2007 with a High School Diploma in General Studies. Elissa has also acquired various certifications, including the PI Certified Talent Optimization Consultant from Talent Optimization by The Predictive Index in July 2019, the SHRM-CP from SHRM in February 2015, and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2013.
