Yiannis Kaznessis

Yiannis Kaznessis is the Founder and CEO of AgThera and General Probiotics, Inc., with extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering and biotechnology. Between August 2001 and December 2017, Kaznessis held various academic positions at the University of Minnesota, including George T. Piercy Professor and Director of Graduate Studies within the Department of Chemical Engineering. Additional roles included Associate Professor and Director of the Bioinformatics Summer Institute, as well as Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. In 2016, Kaznessis served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. Prior to this academic career, Kaznessis worked as a Research Associate at Pfizer from May 1999 to August 2001. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, alongside a diploma in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
