James Desmarais

Jim Desmarais, PE, CFPS, serves as the Fire Protection Department Manager at AHA Consulting Engineers since July 2002, specializing in the design of fire protection and fire alarm systems, including various types of sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and clean agent suppression systems. Jim Desmarais conducts hydraulic calculations, develops specifications, composes narrative reports for building system reviews, and coordinates with other engineering disciplines. Previously, Jim Desmarais held the position of Fire Protection Design Engineer at Carlson Associates, Inc. and worked as a Fire Protection Project Engineer at P. R. Sherman Inc. Jim Desmarais holds both a Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
